awesome chair! great deal too!

Great Chair
This is the best desk chair I've ever owned. I've been using it for about 4 months now, and it's still very strong. No creeks, or loose parts. And it's very comfortable.

Great chair for the money
At half the cost of the Aeron (the best office chair I ever came across), this is a good chair.
Pros:
- construction quality (will easily last 10 to 15 years)
- While there is no lumbar support for the basic chair, there is enough support that you don't really need that extra accessory for lumbar support
Cons:
- a little too firm/hard seating and you have to get used to it. (if you want a sofa cushion seating, this is not the chair for you)

Best Chair Ever
I never thought I would spend this amount of money for a office chair, however it is truly the BEST CHAIR EVER. I have been in business for 20years and every couple of years I would have to replace my office chair and my back would always hurt after sitting in those chairs bought from the local office supply house. I now enjoy sitting at my desk, pain free hour after hour. If you do the math it cost about $50.00 per year over 12 years(warranty). Whats your back worth? I'm buying two more for my home office.

Chair was easy to assemble, looks great. Only drawback is that arms are not adjustable. Price was lower than usual ($599) so it was a good value.

Great chair, but some don't like the back
I've had my Mirra for over 3 years now and I love it. The chair arms are particularly nice - they are the perfect shape and very adjustable, with plenty of padding (some other chair arms tend to be too rectangular with uncomfortable edges). The chair bottom is basically identical to the more expensive Aeron and feels just the same to me; easy on the legs, perfect amount of support and keeps you cool. Also, the adjustments on this chair are very easy to use, which is a big improvement over the Aeron.

I find the chair back to be very comfortable and it provides great adjustable lower-back support. However, I've talked to some people who found its rigidity uncomfortable, so I would try sitting in this before buying it as the back seems to be a love it or hate it issue.

Best office chair EVER!
I have searched for years for a desk chair that would give me enough support for my back. I have a "graveyard" of old chairs in our office. Well, my search is over. This is the best chair I have ever had! From the first moment I sat in it, I felt completed supported. I'm not hunching my shoulders and leaning forward any more. There are so many adjustments that it should fit anyone. I especially like the lumbar support and the tilt limiter. Great chair!

Great Chair -I sat in one for 5 years!
Great chair! Last company I worked for had a fleet of these. I never saw a broken one around the office in the 5 years I was there.

I'm a games programmer; 10 to 14 hours days are the norm -much of it spent in a chair exactly like this one. I'm 6' 2", 180 lbs, for reference. I've seen other (rare) reviews of this chair breaking, but I suspect those reviewers were much heavier than I. Most everyone in my office loved the chairs.

Many reclining chairs I hate because there's no configuring them. They either go too far or not enough. This chair allows you to set a stop, and then recline only that far.

I never thought much about the lubar support pad in the back until I sat in one that didn't have it -not so nice. Made the chair suddenly feel like a hammock. That pad does slide up and down so you can find your comfort zone.

I suppose the only down side was the adjustable arms tended to slide down over time. They have an adjustment screw that slides in a slot and that tightens down against the frame, but it will slip down if you lean on the arm too hard. I finally got mine so tight that it rarely slipped though. I suppose I could have fashioned small wooden sticks to slip into the bottom of the slot and fix the problem completely but I never got around to it.

I've heard rumors that this strech mesh fabric can put wear and tear on nice clothes. Sorry, can't comment on that. My environment was more t-shirt and jeans. We used to joke the only dress requirement was wearing shoes -not that we could ever get the artists to follow even that. lol

When I started looking to add one to my home office I nearly choked. I had no idea they were so expensive. I still want one. Glad to see the prices coming down some. In this economy, office furniture liquidators might even have them too.

Beautiful chair, excellent design, with one flaw
I purchased this chair (in black) from Amazon after seeing it in a furniture showroom. It was a good price and arrived quickly. After assembling it and trying it out,

Pros:
- looks beautiful
- modern design
- high back
- chrome finish
- heavy build quality
- very comfortable
- adjustable height and recline, with locking back

Cons:
- casters hit the metal frame at the bottom, limiting rotation

The casters did not have enough clearance from the bottom frame and scraped the bottom of the frame. This was both cosmetically and functionally undesirable. This was, however, easily solved by going to Lowe's and getting 5 7/16-inch washers and inserting them around the casters. Now, this is a pretty small con, but when buying a $300 office chair it should be perfect out of the box (or at least include the washers). Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Great buy from a good supplier
This is a really nice comfy well made chair from a helpful and efficient supplier. It goes together very well (needs to be assembled after delievery) and makes a pleasant addition to any home office or working environment where you need to sit at a desk for long periods of time. The padding makes the seat and the backrest support nice and soft, also nice and warm, and allows the user to enjoy sitting in it while working.

It has a height adjuster which is essential for getting the correct position for working and swivels easily to allow for any movements which need to be made while performing tasks at your desk. It's a really nice chair for a very good price and the supplier does a great job on delivering it quickly.

Bought 5 of these to make a set for my game room. They are big, comfy and seem very durable. I was worried after reading over a thousand different reviews on many different models of chairs. Mostly comfortable
This chair reminded me of an armchair I had in vinyl, which wore out after a few years of use, but this chair does not recline. It seems pretty good for an injured back so far. I had measured the area where I was placing it before purchase, and it is larger than what I expected. The leather is good quality. I see no workmanship issues. My main issue is that the package was slightly open when it arrived, which I believe explains why one of the arms was cracked all the way through. The arms of the chair are plastic with leather padding on top, so you can't lean on them much. I imagine this chair is not for someone weighing more than 150 pounds, since it creaks even when I am sitting in it, and I weigh far less than that. I super-glued the chair arm back together, and fortunately, the plastic arm is metallic silver, so I could tape over the crack with duct tape and it blended fairly well. It wasn't too difficult to put together, but I would not want to go through the hassle of returning the chair for a replacement.

Finally a Comfortable Chair for a Very Bad Back!
I'm in heaven. This chair gets the award for the perfect chair for a very bad back. My back is so bad that I'm disabled. Normally I can't sit for any short period of time. I have been able to work on my crafts today without being so crippled up. I was sooo...HAPPY! The chair has amazing lumbar support built in it and hits me in the proper zone of my back. The LeatherPlus is very buttery soft but seems very durable. I raked it across my texured wall without a rip or scratch on it. I'm loving this chair just after using it in these last 2 days.
It arrived packed in large box intact. My husband was able to put it together in less than 6 minutes. It took him twice as long to remove the chair from it's box due to it is packed in the box tightly with a spongy pad to cushion it in shipping.
The chair is ample in size and very padded. It is like sitting on a cloud! The price was right, too. It was under $225.00 including tax with free shipping with Amazon Prime. I didn't have to pay for one of those over-priced chairs to find relief for my back. I would recommend this chair for anyone that suffers from chronic back pain or just wanting to sit on a cloud in comfort.

I Searched And I Searched . . .

Very Happy with this chair

Best work chair ever
They upgraded our chairs at work this year to these and they are AWESOME! I would buy one for home if they weren't so expensive. They are comfortable and so adjustable.

An AMAZING Chair!
I had chronic back pain for 5 years in my left shoulder.
I saw doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists.
None of them could get rid of my problem completely, mostly only giving me temporary relief. I was a victim of "forward posture" syndrome, from working on a computer for the last 5-10 years. What I really needed was a lifestyle change and so I wanted to improve the ergonomics of my work environment.

This chair enables me to lean back while typing comfortably at the keyboard, which allows my shoulders to fall square against the backrest, stopping me from "hunching", and reversing my forward posture. The adjustable lower back lumbar support helps support my lower back, keeping my back feeling wonderful. Forget about "sitting up straight", being reclined takes pressure off your spine and prevents you from hunching. One reviewer called the moving arm pieces "junk", but I call it "brilliant", because it makes typing on a keyboard while reclined very easy. I should also point out that I am 5'9 and 160lbs, so I have not noticed the "stiffness" on the tush that other reviewers have pointed out.

All in all, this is the most configurable, and comfortable chair I have ever sat in, and I tried nearly ever chair before purchasing this one, including the herman miller aeron. If you work on a computer for more than 8 hours a day I'd say this chair is a must have. This chair has helped reverse my back problems and today I am pain free. Bravo Steelcase!

Wonderfully comfortable and attractive task chair
Needing to replace my old desk chair -- and acknowledging my advancing years -- I decided to find out what was the least expensive chair to offer blissful, sit-all-day comfort. After plopping down on every name ergonomic chair you've ever heard of (Leap, Freedom, etc.), I pronounced the Mirra the clear winner. (The Aeron is remarkably comfortable too, but more expensive.) I bought a loaded Mirra and have been very satisfied, with one little quibble for which I have deducted a star. That is, the two screws holding the chair's back to the base worked themselves loose after a few months of use. I consider this unacceptable in a $700 chair and caution all purchasers not to throw out the hex wrench Herman Miller gives you to tighten the screws. I have now tried applying some Threadlocker Blue liquid to the screws and hope this will solve the problem. I also think Herman Miller shouldn't charge a $150 premium over the basic model for the privilege of adjustable lumbar support

Comfort and style - one of the best office chairs around
We built a new office for our help desk and had the luxury to test out several of the top office chairs in the world. My personal favorite was the Mirra. It scored well against the Aeron and was a bit more comfortable to my behind and back. The style is good - a clean take on a functional product. It has all of the adjustments and it was a bit less expensive than the Aeron. The funny thing is that I suggested that we test sit the Aeron but the vendor suggested the Mirra for budget reasons (I was pre-sold on the Aeron). After a week with the Aeron and a week with the Mirra, I voted for Mirra - a shock to me and the people around me. Alas, the majority chose the Aeron and I sit in one now (not too unhappily).
